25VS25 is a project led by two creative humans, Shirley and Vanessa. They both wanted to do something wonderful for the Deaf community by doing fun stuff but also to do something for an organisation that has given them wonderful start of their journey as a Deaf youth. Those two creative humans are getting a little bit older, and wanted to give something back to the organisation, World Federation of the Deaf Youth Section (WFDYS). It is also important to acknowledge, that if it wasn’t for Deaf Youth Australia (DYA), their attendance to WFDYS camps would have not been possible.
WFDYS celebrated their 25th birthday last month. An idea evolved to a HUGE project, to complete 25 different projects before their 26th birthday and to ensure to organise, produce, complete or whatever in total of 25 or 250! It vary greatly in type of activities, may it be to raise $250, sell 25 tickets or produce 250 stickers etc! Ya get it now, yeah?
We can’t wait to share our 25VS25 journey with you. Most importantly, we can’t wait to see how much we will raise awareness about many wonderful things WFDYS and DYA have done for Deaf youth and to raise funds for WFDYS!
All profits from sales after production and fee costs, will go to WFDYS with 25% portion to DYA. We will kindly request WFDYS to reserve 25% of donated funds for participants from developing countries to receive presentations, workshops, attend WFDYS camps and educate them to be aware of their own human rights as Deaf citizens.
